Holiday Resort & Latte Stone(라테스톤)

라테스톤은 고대 차모로인들의 건물을 지지하는 역할을 했던 돌이다. 마리아나 제도 여러군데에서 발견된다. 현대에는 차모로인들의 정체성을 나타낸다.

 

A latte stone, or simply latte (also latde), is the term for a pillar (haligi) capped by a hemispherical stone capital (tasa) with the flat side facing up. Used as building supports by the ancient Chamorro people, they are found throughout most of the Marianas Islands. In modern times, the latte stone is seen as a sign of Chamorro identity and is used in many different contexts. <from wikipedia.org>

괌 홀리데이 리조트의 이른 아침 풍경
나무들은 괌에서 흔하게 볼 수 있는 불꽃나무(Flame Tree)이다. 꽃잎, 가지등을 진공청소기로 청소하는 모습이다.
한국에서는 공공장소에서 진공청소기로 청소하는 모습을 보지 못했는데 괌이라 좀 다른 모습이네요.
